The socio-economic conditions of communities in the hilly regions of Uttarakhand are shaped by limited infrastructure, scarce employment opportunities, and migration of youth to urban areas. Agriculture, largely rain-fed and traditional, remains the primary livelihood but yields low income. Access to quality healthcare, education, and markets is restricted due to challenging terrain. Women often bear a heavy workload, managing both household and agricultural duties. Despite these challenges, there is a rich cultural heritage and strong community ties.
The organization is committed towards brining positive change in the lives of the communities across the major indicators viz. health, education, skills & livelihoods, women empowerment, environment, water & sanitation, etc. Till date, the organization has successfully delivered several programs in collaboration with NABARD, NIEASBD, Dept. of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Dept. of Agriculture, Dept. of Horticulture, Dept. of Animal Husbandry, Forest Dept. and other Institutions under the
State Government of Uttarakhand.
